9 Quick Tips on Computer Care / Laptop Care

Here are some tips on taking care of your PC/Laptops. Some of these tips are very commonly practiced but if you use most of these tips you can assure yourself a hassle free computing experience.

Tip 1

Avoid liquid nears your device, this is common knowledge that having liquids near your device could be hazardous to your device so keep them away! Or if you badly need to have them near use things like keyboard protectors and other covers to shield them from damage through liquids.

Tip 2

Antivirus, you need them it’s as simple as that if you are using Windows you can use Microsoft security Essentials which is a proven free anti-virus and developed by Microsoft itself, who knows Windows better than Microsoft?

Tip 3

Food, yes just like liquid food is also hazardous to your computer keep them away, you don’t want your tasty sharwarma to be inside your keyboard do you?

Tip 4

Your Hands, now yes you might be thinking it is difficult to keep them away from your keyboard right? We don’t want you too as well. There have been some reports stating that your keyboard might harbour more germs than your very own Toilet Seat, yes keep your hands clean at all times that bottle if hand sanitizer might be helpful. Tip 5

LCD Screen, Whenever you shutdown your laptop and close your lid make sure there is nothing in between, not even a small pen it might cause serious damage to your screen which will end up as an extra cost for you to repair.

Tip 6

Pulling the cord, Say NO to it always practise holding the power socket with your hands and carefully tugging it. Not doing it might cause damage to your adaptor which in turn might damage your device.

Tip 7

Don’t leave it in your car, yes you know what temperatures it reaches here in the UAE, it is unsafe to leave any living thing as well as any electronic item in your car.

Tip 8

Get dust cleared, once a year get your unit cleaned for the dust it might accumulate it will affect a lot of internal components and might increase the internal temperatures as well. Or you can manually use an old toothbrush to clean around your exhaust fan area

Tip 9

Flat Surface, always try to use your laptop on a flat surface, and no your bed is not a flat surface as it is soft and will cover the whole bottom of your laptop not leaving any ventilation space in turn increasing your laptops temperature which might damage it.
